Day 2

In your own space, share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. Something that impacted on your consciousness in a way that left its mark on your soul. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

So there were quite a few things that really influenced me, but I'll pare it down to the top 3:

• Harry Potter (specifically, if I'm going to be honest, Lightning on the Wave's retelling of the books)


• Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series (because, if I'm honest, all my A/B/O ideas originate from here)


• LeDiableBlanc.com (because this was what really started me reading fanfic and specifically slash fanfic)

There's a lot of other things - movies and universes that I love reading, that influenced my ideas or my plots or honestly a bunch of different things regarding my life.

Though I will give a special mention to Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (the movie). It gave me chills and literally the entire afternoon after I watched it I was sure all the clouds looked like dragons and I was floating around silent and just... stunned, I guess.

honestly tho, I read her books in undergrad and then my first a/b/o fic in grad school and a little *DING* went off in my head and I went 'oh man can I get behind this'
