I think I dropped Anita Blake when she... got whatever sex power the vampire had? I only remember Robert and Jason, because they were my favorites... Anyway. LKH has this really annoying habit of repeating every. single. detail. every. twenty. pages. and it pisses me off to no end. She makes her women (all of two of them) surprised with the same act over and over. The only redeeming character, for me in the Merry Gentry series, is that her men are so beautifully damaged and so strong regardless.
